Introduction
There is a universal truth: “One size does not fit all”. This is also true for traffic information system interfaces. The seven interfaces within the suite are tailored to fit the functionally different kind of data flowing within a system without unnecessary overhead.
APCRDA Interface Specification
The purpose of this document is to describe the APCRDA database structure. With APCRDA it is possible to let other applications get access to data concerning recorded APC data collected through the NOPTIS VSI interface. APCRDA contain references intended to allow joins with planned and realtime data from NOPTIS DOI and ROI.
Data Import Interface
This document describes the NOPTIS Data Import Interface 3.0, - an open XML-based interface for the transfer of timetable, network and any other data prepared in advance from different planning, geographic information and similar systems into a central public transport database.
POSition Real-time Output UDP Interface 1.1
This document is in addition to the main POSROI documentation. Please see the document mentioned in the References section for a description of the public POSROI interface. The purpose of this additional document is to describe the UDP position messages related to the PubTrans POSition Real-time Output Interface (POSROI).
Report Input Interface 2.0
This document describes the Report Input Interface (RII). RII is a public interface for reporting short-term changes to an integrator system. Through RII, external applications can provide the following types of information:
- Short term changes to the production plan, so called control actions.
- Messages to passengers and staff in various formats.
Vehicle System Interface 3.0
This document describes the Vehicle System Interface (VSI). VSI is an interface for real time message exchange between a vehicle system and an integrator system. The primary purpose is reporting vehicle progress in real-time to the integrator system. VSI works in combination with other NOPTIS interfaces such as Data Output Interface – DOI – and Realtime Output Interface – ROI. DOI and ROI are not described in this document.
